Gergana Efremova is a manager of department Institutional Partnerships at Teach For Bulgaria Foundation, which works to ensure that every child in Bulgaria has equal access to quality education by developing new teachers, supporting school teams, building partnerships, introducing good practices in the education system. Gergana’s work in the team includes creating and maintaining sustainable partnerships with schools in the country, as well as with institutions and civic organizations in the field of education. She joined Teach For Bulgaria Foundation in 2011 and has experience in several different teams of the organization. She firmly believes that every child has the right to a quality education and can succeed as long as they are supported in the right way. She also believes that teachers and school management play a key role in this process.
Gergana has a master’s degree in archeology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”. Before becoming part of the team of Teach For Bulgaria Foundation she worked in several Bulgarian and international companies. She is involved in the problems of education not only professionally, but also as a parent and a chairman of the public council of a Sofia school.
Teach For Bulgaria Foundation has been a member of the NNC for nearly 10 years, with Gergana representing the organization since 2017.
