Antoaneta Ivanova has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Economics in Varna, a Master’s degree in Fashion and Styling from the University of Veliko Tarnovo, and a Master’s degree in Social Management from the Technical University of Varna.
Since the establishment of Association “Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus-Bulgaria”, Antoaneta has been actively involved in activities with children and parents, visual projects, donation campaigns, advocacy, support for parents. Since 2016 she is in the Board of Directors of the association. From 2019 she is also a mentor for a youth advocacy team.
Antoaneta also has experience as a social worker and mediator in early childhood development services at the Community Center for Children and Families – Varna, where she has been advising families for the past five years.
Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus-Bulgaria Association was established by parents in 2011. The experience of the organization is related to supporting the families of children with disabilities and creating a community. Advocacy for the rights and policies to support children and families is a permanent part of the work of the Association. The organization is a member of the international federation IF SBH. International activities provide a knowledge in modern support systems for children and their families.
In her work as a social worker and consultant, Antoaneta sees unresolved issues and seeks more opportunities to support families in the best possible way. Her motivation for social work and change in policies for children is very personal. She knows the shortcomings of the system and believes that it can be improved. She also believes in civic organizations, in their strength and competence and that families really need these organizations.
