VoiceIT

For ten years we have been amplifying the voice of children

We believe that every child has the right to form their own views and opinions and to express them freely. For us, this is a critical process in the development of children and young people as fully fledged individuals capable of standing up for their positions. We view this right as a means of child protection.

The National Network for Children has been amplifying children’s voices for ten years with year-round programs and initiatives for children’s participation, but our Voice It discussion forum is the culmination of our efforts to create a space for children’s voices to be heard and for important issues for young people to find a place in direct dialogue with politicians, institutional experts and public figures.

Voice It has been running since 2013 and is our biggest event for children and youth participation, with young people from the Megaphone Programme and children from schools across the country playing a major role.

We are holding Voice It on 20 November – World Children’s Day, on which the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted. The children themselves choose the important issues to raise with the politicians who stand next to them on stage – prime ministers, ministers, state experts.
