Just 11 days after the start of “A Child Waits for Magic. Become a magician – give him a book” nearly 4200 children from all over the country have found their magician and will receive their dream book for Christmas! We officially announce that all children’s wishes on the website are now fulfilled. Those of you who were not able to participate, still have the opportunity to do so this Sunday. How, where and when – see below in the article. The campaign continues until December 15 to make sure all the books arrive to their recipients!

The National Network for Children would like to thank all over 2000 donors who took part in this year’s edition and made magic for all these children – to receive a children’s book as a gift! Thanks to you, they will discover new fairytale worlds, flipping through the magical pages of the book they wished for. Together this year we set new records – a record number of children’s wishes granted in record time. Just 11 days after the campaign started, the children’s wishes have found their wizards and are already travelling to their little readers.
We would like to thank the magicians’ helpers, our partners, without whose invaluable support it would not have been possible to realize the fifth edition of the campaign – Experian and UniCredit Bulbank, who are long-standing financial partners of the initiative, DHL Express Bulgaria, Ciela and Ozone.bg bookstores, thanks to whom buying and sending the children’s wishes was easier and more convenient than ever. We would also like to thank Greenwich Junior bookshop and Enthusiast publishing house for supporting us by organizing the second event of the campaign.
Those of you who weren’t able to get involved online in the initiative can do so this Sunday (08.12.2024) at our event, which we’re co-hosting with Greenwich Junior and Enthusiast Publishing at 11:30am on the Central Halls stage. Each guest will be able to choose a child’s wish on the spot, purchase the book from our special stand during the event, and donate magic to the child who is expecting it.
“A child waits for magic. Become a magician – give him a book!” is the most long-awaited and one of the most successful campaigns of the NMA. Together with donors and partners, we have donated over 12,300 books to children who do not have access to age-appropriate books for five consecutive editions with the help of over 5,000 donors.
