The National Network for Children (NNC) joined the inspiring launch of the “Megaphone” platform for child and youth participation in Kosovo – a new initiative modelled on Bulgaria’s programme and supported by NNC’s expertise.
Implemented by the Kosovo Children’s Network (KOMF) as part of the regional SMART Balkans project – Civil Society for Shared Values in the Western Balkans, the platform is backed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA) and developed in partnership with CPCD, IDM, and CRPM.
At the launch event in Pristina, organisers presented the programme’s vision, guiding principles, and planned actions. A highlight of the day was hearing directly from young people, who shared their hopes, concerns, and messages with representatives from institutions and civil society.
Giorgi Bogdanov, Executive Director of NNC, said: “When we listen to children, we not only teach them to speak, but we also learn how to build a fairer world.”
The “Megaphone” programme in Kosovo will provide a meaningful space for children in vulnerable situations, children in care, children with disabilities, and active students to be heard and to take part in decisions that affect their lives.
NNC proudly shares knowledge and good practices with partners across the region – because child participation has no borders, and every child deserves the opportunity to be heard.
