Unemployment, sick leave and maternity benefits cut

The sick leave, maternity and the unemployment benefits will be cut next year through increase of the basis upon which they are calculated and inclusion of older and smaller income. This is envisaged in the new regulations in the State Public Insurance Act.

The National Network for Children considers these anti-crisis in their essence measures for completely contradictory to the commitments for ending poverty and the birth rate promotion. The new regulations will deprive a large number of mothers to receive adequate maternity benefits and all who meet the criteria will receive benefits in reduced amount.
