Twenty Per Cent of Bulgarians Are Open to Foster Parenting

Bulgarians start getting used to the idea that they each individual can be a factor for solution of significant social problems.

20% of Bulgarians state that they are open to become foster parents, a Gallup International survey showed.

More than 70 per cent of the population share that they have a positive attitude towards foster parenting. Number of skeptics keeps decreasing with time, as less than 4% have said that they disapprove foster parenting.

More than 63 per cent of the people consider foster parenting to have a positive effect on kids. Most of the people think this is so for the simple reason of children living in a close-to-family environment. Personal care and better material conditions are also among the recognized factors for positive child development.
