Between June 26-30, the National Network for Children (NNC) organized and hosted a delegation from Kosovo that arrived in Sofia for a study visit. We were glad to welcome experts from UNICEF – Kosovo, the Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, the Ministry of Justice, the Municipal Directorate for Social Welfare, and representatives from the Center for Social Work, being among others.
The Agenda in Sofia included meetings with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in Bulgaria, UNICEF – Bulgaria, the Sofia Municipality, the Institute for Social Activities and Practices, the Faculty of Educational Studies and the Arts at Sofia University, as well as with the NNC team. Our meetings aimed at exchanging experiences and best practices from our activities.
The Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, supported by UNICEF and in partnership with USAID, is implementing the project “Strengthening social service workforce to provide continued quality social services for most vulnerable children and their families in Kosovo”. One of the foreseen activities in terms of exchanging experiences and sharing best practices on social service workforce was the study visit to Sofia, Bulgaria.
