Stanimir Georgiev is the Executive Director of CONCORDIA Bulgaria Foundation, part of the independent international CONCORDIA organization, which operates in seven countries, including Bulgaria, where it has been active since 2008.
He works to support, protect, and empower children, young people, and families in vulnerable situations through a wide range of social, educational, and community-based programs.
Throughout his professional journey within the organization, Stanimir has held various positions. He started as a social worker, went on to manage teams, and most recently has been responsible for the organization’s strategic development, resource management, and ensuring transparency, efficiency, and sustainability in its operations.
For the past three years, he has served as a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Network for Children. Over the last year, he has chaired the Board, and in 2026 he was elected to the organization’s Management Board.
He believes that the strength of a network lies in active participation, the exchange of experience, and shared responsibility for improving policies and practices for children and families in Bulgaria.
