Eurochild officially announced its report “The 2013 National Reform Programmes from a child poverty and well-being perspective” on September 10th, 2013. This is the third similar report, which the organization sends to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Member States social attaches, based in Brussels. The report’s main recommendations are: to prioritize child welfare, to evaluate the eventual impact of costs reduction for children policies and services, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of EU structural funds to combat child poverty and to involve non-government organizations in the development and analysis of policies on local, regional and national level.
The National Network for Children contributed to the research by analyzing the situation in Bulgaria and recommended to prioritize the prevention and early intervention services, as well as family support.
