Hearing Of SACP’s President At Children, Youth And Sport Commission Meeting

Representative of the National Network for Children was at a Children, Youth and Sport Commission Meeting which took place in the Parliament on September 11th, 2013. The agenda also included hearing of Mrs. Eva Jecheva, President of State Agency for Child Protection for the development and implementation of the process of deinstitutionalization.

Representatives of coalition “Childhood 2025” raised questions for the process management, coordination and leadership. Mrs. Jecheva replied that an intersectoral working group has been created to discuss the mechanism to involve the non-government organizations. She added that a working group under the Ministry of Finance has been established to develop a mechanism to transfer the closed institutions and reduced capacities funds towards services for children and families.
