Representatives from organizations across the country, part of the National Network for Children (NNC) family, will gather in Albena resort for the Annual Meeting of the Network between June 22-24. Over 150 experts, youth, and activists are expected to engage in three days of working meetings, training sessions, and discussions to share experiences and case studies from their daily work.
Traditionally, we will be joined by young people from our community for child and youth participation in the Youth Network “Megaphone.” In the opening meeting, we anticipate a challenge from them to the participants in the room. We don’t know what it will be, but we are eager to be presented with a “welcome” task.
One of the major engagements for the youth will be their participation in a meeting with the NNC Board of Directors. Their opinions on priorities in policies concerning children and families in our country are important. Especially for them, a panel on “Financial Literacy” has been organized. The topic was not our decision; they requested it themselves :).
The planned working meetings and panels for the experts from organizations in the Network will cover topics such as early childhood intervention in the context of the refugee crisis, a vision for policies in the areas of Health, Education, and Family. The training sessions and learning groups will address various topics, including motivation for donations in the civil sector, misinformation, trolls, and hate speech in communication, digital marketing for civil organizations, children as advocates for human rights, and more. We are confident that, in informal conversations, we will also address many of the everyday cases we deal with.
A network is strong when organizations and people within it are aligned in one direction. We can’t wait to be together and discuss our next major battles in the policies for Bulgarian children and families!
