The EEA and Norway Grants seek proposals for transnational projects under the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment. The Fund’s focus on transnational cooperation reflects the view that unemployment among youth is a common European challenge and common European solutions should therefore be explored.
1What is the focus of the call?
The newly established Fund specifically aims to support transnational project initiatives that promote sustainable and quality youth employment. Projects addressing youth unemployment must fall within the three principal support areas:
• innovation and exploration;
• transfer of know-how and good practice;
• analysis and research.
Who can apply?
The beneficiary countries of this call for proposals are Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. In addition, entities from Ireland, Italy and Spain are eligible. Projects shall involve entities from at least two countries, of which the beneficiary country must be the lead partner.
What is the grant amount?
The total funding is €60.6 million, and the minimum grant amount per project is €1 million. There is no maximum grant amount per project.
What are the target groups of the Fund?
The target groups of the Fund are young people between 15 and 29, with a special focus on the 25-29 year olds. The long-term unemployed, the low-skilled, inactive women caring for children or incapacitated adults, ethnic minorities including Roma, asylum-seekers, people with mental health issues and the disabled are of particular interest to the Fund.
