National Network for Children announces the start of the nominations for the prestigious awards “Hero of the Children” and “Children’s Organization”, part of the traditional Golden Apple Awards for contribution to the welfare of children and families in Bulgaria, which are awarded for the 11th consecutive year.
In a time of global crisis lasting more than a year, the mission of the Golden Apple is more important than ever with the ambition to focus public attention on people and organizations that support children and families with their civic activity. The awards aim to widely promote their positive example.
If you are wondering who the children’s heroes are, here are some of their qualities – these are individuals or informal groups of people who have had a positive impact on children’s lives, they stand up for their rights, change the thinking and environment so that children receive more attention, support and development opportunities.
The nominations in the category “Children’s Organization” distinguish civil society organizations that with their activities, projects and initiatives have a positive impact on the lives of children and families in the fields of health, education, justice, charity and children’s rights.
