Multiple families in Bulgaria are 56 017 families or only 4,3% from all families in the country
The data from the last censuses shows that the typical Bulgarian family is with one child, announced the National Statistical Institute (NSI). The number of the families with one child grows up between censuses and as of 1st February 2011 they are 161 – 63,3% from all families with children. In the same period, the number of families with two, three and more children has gone down in absolute numbers as well as relatively. At the last census, multiple (with three and more children) families are 56 017 families or only 4,3% from all families in the country.
