“For our children” foundation will partner with the four Labor bureaus in Sofia for the promotion of foster care as a form of employment in the capital. The partnership was negotiated in March between the foundation and the Employment Agency. The aim of the joint efforts is to provide opportunities to unemployed people who are willing to help a child at risk to take the challenge of the foster carer profession, benefiting from all rights the labor legislation provides. Appropriate applicants are people with professional experience in the medicine, pedagogy, social activities as well as people with experience in looking after children. The labor bureaus teams will offer the unemployed with the appropriate professional background to apply as foster parents and will refer them to the specialized Foster care centre in Sofia.
