In the middle of this week the contract for the construction of the Center for Children and Youths at Risk will be finally signed, informed the Municipality of Stara Zagora.
The center will be built on the site of a former cinema “Jelyo Dimanov.” The funding is provided by the program “Children and youths at risk” by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014.
The value of the project is 1,395,380 EUR and the deadline is up to April 30, 2016. It provides a complete reconstruction of the building, which is property of the municipality.
On the area of almost 950 square meters will be build a conference hall, a performing arts hall, a hall for computer and language courses, an art zone, a gym, a photo and video club, a dining room and bedrooms, where the visiting groups will be accommodated.
The target group is 150 young people, including 38 at risk of social exclusion and Roma.
A total of 25 people, 10 of which are expert trainers, 2 Roma mediators and 5 youth professionals will work with them. In the International Center will be established interest club,s where young people will be involved in activities for performing and visual arts, photo and video shooting, crafts and fine arts, computers and Internet technology, sports, cultural exchange and dialogue, and purely practical skills.
