National Network for Children and in particular the Report ” School Card 2012: Assessment of the implementation of state commitments to children in Bulgaria “, prepared by NNC, was presented as an example for good practice in the Annual Report of the OAK Foundation, 2011.
The second edition of the International forum The Education of Tomorrow, organized by Les Francas, was held from 28th June to 2nd July, 2012 in Toulouse, France. Bulgaria was represented among 57 other countries by the “Social practices in the community” Foundation.
The state fund “Agriculture” (SFA) did the consecutive payment within the scheme “School fruit” for the school year 2011/2012, announced from the fund.

Thirty children with impaired vision from the whole country will be supported during the next two years for their education and choice of education.
The institutions in Bulgaria received annual score AVERAGE (3) for 2011 regarding their commitments to children and families. This was announced during the launch of the National Network for Children “School report 2012: Assessment of the state commitments to children in Bulgaria”
‘REPORT CARD 2012: Assessment of The Implementation of State Commitments Towards The Children of Bulgaria’ is a unique report by the NNC – a full analysis of Bulgarian institutions work in key child-related areas – Child Rights, Family Environment, Education, Child Healthcare and Juvenile Justice.
They will monitor the finances and the work of the director as well as the admission of children. The educational ministry will try to introduce more effective public control over the financial activities of the schools.
The students from 1 till 12 grade will also study health education. This is envisaged by draft amendments in the legislative framework prepared by the Ministry of Education.
The municipalities want from the state around 50 million leva additionally, most of which will go for children’s support money. This was announced by the executive director of the municipalities association Ginka Chavdarova in front of “Mediapool”.
