A few days after Black Friday, Generosity Tuesday will happen – an international day of empathy for causes and a day when we don’t take for ourselves, but give for others.
This year, Generous Tuesday is on November 28 and the National Network for Children joins the initiative to help, together with you, the boys and girls from our youth program “Megaphone” to realize a dream of theirs – to have equipment with which to run their own podcast.
Support them! Donate on November 28, 2023 to empower children to speak up. Our goal is to raise BGN 3,000 with which to purchase a recorder, microphones, microphone stand, cables and headphones, with which young people can record and broadcast podcasts as successful young opinion leaders.
The “Megaphone” program has been implemented for more than 10 years, and 400 young people from all over Bulgaria, with different ethnic origins, history and social experience, have completed the two-year training. Together with us, megaphone students learn what rights they have and how to advocate for them, and in the second year they conduct research among their peers on topics that they themselves define as important for themselves, their community and the youth of their age throughout Bulgaria. Such topics are: education, ecology, financial literacy, social networks and misinformation, bullying at school. The children from “Megafon” want to realize these and many other topics
Generous Tuesday is implemented in over 100 countries around the world and makes people not just think about a cause important to them, but actually help and do something meaningful for someone else. The International Day of Donation and Empathy is implemented in our country by the BCause Foundation. The initiative enables businesses, charities and local communities to join forces in support of socially important charitable causes and to remind people that giving is an integral part of our everyday lives and a way to use our money as a means to change someone’s life for the better. – good.
