Once again this year, the Centre for Creative Learning is organising the National Conference “Skills for Innovation in Education”. The event will be held at Inter Expo Center on two consecutive days – on 8 and 9 November, and among the participants in the conference program is Georgi Elenkov, Director of Policies for Children of the NMA. He will take part in the panel discussion “Safe Environment and Positive Climate” on Friday, November 8, from 12:00 to 12:45 pm to present our position on topics such as mechanisms to counter aggression, student mediation as a workable approach, the lack of services for children with antisocial behaviour and mental suffering, etc. Irena Filipova, Director of the Hadzhi Gencho Primary School in Sofia, will be a speaker. Dr. Iva Boneva, President of the Board of the Association for Shared Learning ELA.
The conference “Skills for Innovation in Education” is organized by the Centre for Creative Learning in partnership with the Lachezar Tsotzorkov Foundation. The event is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science and hosted by the Sofia Municipality. The event will bring together over participants, including principals, teachers, education and technology experts, representatives of institutions, media and civil society organizations. Results from the OECD international report “Social and Emotional Learning for Better Lives” will be presented.The organizers have prepared many panel discussions, sharing of practices and many practical workshops on technology, digitalization and innovation in education. These will include an open lesson on project-based learning with artificial intelligence, interactive learning with SAMSUNG technologies, Visual Design for Educators and many more. Some of the sessions will take place in a dedicated room for STEM consultations and technology workshops. Parallel to the conference program, an educational exhibition and presentation of an AI lab will run.
We invite school directors, teachers, education experts, representatives of institutions, media and all those interested in the future of education to join the conference. Together we will look for workable solutions to the biggest challenges in schools as well as new partnerships in the dynamic environment of today’s education.
