NNC presented the problems in the deinstituionalisation process to the European Commission general secretary

On 23rd March George Bogdanov met with the general secretary of the European Commission in Brussels, Mrs. Caterine Day. During the meeting the executive director of NNC presented the serious risks in the realization of the deinstitutionalization projects, implemented by the Bulgarian Government and in particular the problems in the process of large-scale institutions for children closure.

The issue about the exclusion of non-governmental organisations in the deinstitutionalization process was also raised.  There’s a trend about taking away possibilities for NGO work in the implementation of activities targeted at the most vulnerable children and families.
