The National Network for Children organized a Conference on the future in Kazanlak on January 16 and 17 2014 Nearly 100 representatives of NNC’s member organizations, its Secretariat and young people participated.
The two-day forum goal was to elaborate general vision for National Network for Children’s development, to map out important joint steps and projects and to outline its 2014-2020 strategic plan priorities.
The participants had the opportunity to exchange good practices and ideas, to discuss common vision and goals, to share opinion on different topics related to children and family’s life and welfare.
It is interesting to note that the forthcoming National Network for Children strategic action plan coincides with the next EU programming period. This is a good premise to coordinate ideas and projects, so as at national and European level.
The conference participants will continue to work for the closure of homes for children in Bulgaria, to advocate for an active state policies, supporting children and families, to encourage children and young people opinion to be included in the decision making process and to strive for the foundation of Children’s Ombudsman in Bulgaria.
The National Network for Children 2014 – 2020 strategy will be written and officially approved on its General meeting in June 2014.
The conference was organized within National Network for Children’s project “Strengthening organizational capacity development”. The project is financed by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Reform fund for civil society participation.
