The workshop was a part of a forum regarding School program – European parliament ambassadors. The European parliament bureau for the correspondence from Sofia, Athina and Bucharest organized the transnational meeting in Plovdiv for the representatives of the three countries. During 22 of March, the main day of the event, 120 teachers and students from nine schools had an opportunity to meet MEP, they learned more about the work of the European Parliament, they worked over 4 actual youth topics for Europe and especially to exchange experience between each other.
The key part from the program of the transnational meeting was the 4 workshops that was committed to the EU legislation and were guiding from experts like Rada Boneva, copywriter, Vasilena Dotkova, editor in factcheck.bg, Venelin Stoycheva from the Philosophy and Sociology Institute of Bulgarian Scientific Academy and Georgy Elenkov a member of National Network for Children (NNC).
The NNC representative was responsible about the disinformation and the media freedom topic and the social media influence and citizens’ rights in the digital era. The groups of the members from the three countries had a time to discuss different challenges of the topics of the 4 workshops and to offer politics/ a new legislative EU act related with them. Later on the 4 group of students’ proposals was creatively introduced during the forum.
