The National Network for Children started on July 10th, 2013 the implementation of the project “Lesson: Strengthening the organizational capacity development”. Its execution is supported by a grant from Switzerland through the Reform Fund Linked to Civil Society Participation.
The main objective of the project is to enhance and develop the institutional capacity of the National Network for Children and its member organizations, working for the well-being of children, to be effective tool for advocacy and monitoring of policies at local and national level and engine of reform for social inclusion.
The project is motivated by the need to build knowledge and skills in three previously identified and agreed areas which are a result of studies and received feedback from members of the National Network for Children, in particular:
1. Elaboration of mechanisms and tools in order the National Network for Children to realize effective processes of monitoring and evaluation of government commitments to Bulgarian children.
2. Strengthening the sustainable development of the National Network for Children’s members by building capacity for transparency and good governance, advocacy, fundraising and lobbying at local level, improving public image and work with media.
3. Development of cooperation between local authorities and civil sector in the field of social services to strengthen the capacity at local level.
