The National Network for Children is pleased to announce the good news that the home for medico-social care for children “St. Ivan Rilski ” has a new Acting Director – Dr. Veselinova.
The new appointment is a result of the purposeful work of Coalition “Childhood 2025” to alert the media and institutions about the nomination of compromised former home’s director Dr. Dzhurelova.
There were several serious incidents involving children during the time she was responsible for the home’s management. In one case (2003) a hand of a child has been amputated because it was tied to the bed for a long time, while in another (2011) a child with 80% burns and life-threatened has not received medical care for several days.
