Children suggested how to improve the region of the Central Station

On 26th June Parents Association held a workshop with over 20 children from about 15 child friend municipalities within a two-day International Conference of the Child friend Cities and Municipalities, called The Child Right of Health and Game, organized by UNICEF.

The region of Sofia Central Station was investigated for its suitability to meet the needs of the children, using a methodology, developed by the Association, for eliciting authentic children’s opinion. Participants in the workshop almost unanimously indicated fear, uncertainty and confusion as basic sensations provoked by being at the station. In the second part of the session, they developed their ideas, related to the security of the station area, access to information for travelers and hygiene.
