Mobiltel launched a major project to support and promote the foster care. It is realized in partnership with the National Network for Children, Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Bulgarian Donor’s Forum and State Agency for Child Protection.
The foster care is an opportunity for children, deprived of own parents care to grow up in a family environment, to establish an emotional bond with the foster parents, to adopt social behavior models and to develop their potential to live independently. The development of “social service” as an alternative to institutional child care is very important element of the current system reform.
The “Foster a child. Create the future” project supports the adopted government’s Action Plan to implement the National Strategy “Vision for the deinstitutionalization of children in Bulgaria”.
