By the end of 2015 all children with disabilities must be transferred to family homes. This is part of a social policy, financed by the European Union, announced dariknews.bg
On the territory of Bulgaria are being built 132 centres and 26 sheltered homes.
100 buildings have already been completed and accommodated over 1,000 children with disabilities. In Sofia there are 13 sheltered houses and 3 protected homes, in which children receive care, that is much closer to the family environment.
In the new programming period 100 mln. BGN will be allocated to social infrastructure, including not only children, but also elderly.
