On October 18th we held the second edition of “Team with a Cause”- a joint initiative organized with UniCredit Bulbank and members of the National Network for Children.
Employees of the bank’s Internal Audit Department rolled up their sleeves to clean and improve playgrounds and recreation areas in Vodenichnitsa Park in the capital’s Boyana district. They repainted the benches around the stage in the park, where events are organised for the children and families living nearby, as well as the benches and play equipment in the playground, those with an affinity for gardening had the opportunity to court plants, and others cleaned up the area in and around the park.
The volunteering initiative would not have been possible without the valuable help and assistance around the organisation we received from colleagues from the Safe Playgrounds Association, a member of the NPA, who work to improve interaction with institutions for a modern, inspiring and sustainable environment for play and sport and encourage children and adults to take responsibility for the world around them and the guidance of the officers of Sofia’s ‘green district’ – Vitosha District.
Representatives of the local government in the face of the Mayor of the District – Arch. Zarko Klinkov and the Deputy Mayor – Eng. Krasimir Dzhambazov, visited the place to personally congratulate the employees of UniCredit for the volunteer mission and the desire to join forces and get involved in something meaningful! Eng. Krassimir Dzhambazov was part of the candidates for the Parliamentary Group for Children during the elections in November, 2021.
